this is the ankylosaurus
honestly i dont even know where to start ankylosaurus is just such a magnificent creature i could not even begin to discribe evrything in just a few words but i can start
so the ankylosaurus what do we actualy know about its bone structure/ skeletal form.
well we know this for certain so far :
- it was almost fully armoured apart from on the bottom / its stomach but that was always near ground level so pretty hard to bite
- the bones of an ankylosaurus were some of the strongest to ever been found
- we know that the force of a hit with an ankylosaurus tail was anough to shatter bone on first impact (even of a full grown carnotaurus)
- than we know that the ankylosaurus skull just couldnt be penetrated with anything that was alive that time not even t-rex teeth
- we know that it was a herd animal and would take anything inside their herd to protect them
- we know that it was a family animal and would stop at nothing to protect their young
thats basicly what i can say for certain
and you know i can just start talking about evry single ankylosaurus skeleton or bone but you probaly wont want that to happen so we will just go right over to the defence styles of ankylosaurus herds
so there are 3 ways for adaults to protect their herd/ young
if its just 2 adaults and one predator

that is how 2 ankylosaurus would protect 1 young ankylosaurus
disclosure this is a hypotetical and an image thats been found on the intirenet this is not a sientific remake of the ankylosaurus species or even slightly a refrence to what it should be (apart from the pattern) this is big time hypotetical and not 100% certain
than you also got one of an intire herd

this again is not 100% proven and is an internet image that does not perfectly display reality
this herd defence is basicly inpenetrable as this leaves no option for either predator to attack a single ankylosaurus wich would be the only chance they have at killing one of the ankylosaurus
than lets now talk abouts its eating habbits
the eating habbits of an ankylosaurus dont diffrientiate much from modern day animals
ankylosaurus were grazers wich means they ate from bigg grass fields in herds or they
ate bushes and ground leave wich would also work but as a threat they sometimes ate berries.
and dont even get me started on how much they eat like comparing it with their size its not wierd
but still they eat incrediably much about : 60 kilos of grass and herb per day
thats 420 kilos of vegetation per week and about 1860 kilos per month in vegitation like its insane
you know what still suprises me to this day?
the question : if dinosaurs were alive would we be able to comunicate with them.
bc well frankly how should we know? we dont know evry detail of their behaviour so maby yes but probely not
this is what an ankylosaurus roar is expect to be
disclaimer its not certain but its thought to be by many sientists
